SWEDISH MASSAGE

This is an all over and very gentle treatment. We would recommend this for any first timer who is perhaps nervous or unsure about massage therapy.

This is a relaxing treatment, which should create a feeling of intense wellbeing in the patient.

The aim is to relieve the body of toxins and to help increase the circulation to the muscles. This, in turn, helps to alleviate any aches and pain and tension in the area.

This is one of the most well known types of massage and is practiced all over the world.

The four motions you are most likely to see in a Swedish massage are petrissage, friction, tapotement and effleurage. These are the key movements which stimulate the circulation, to help soothe aches and pains.

It is the treatment you are most likely to find in a spa, as it is a classically pampering experience.

TREATMENT: SWEDISH MASSAGE

DURATION: HALF AN HOUR, ONE HOUR, ONE AND A HALF HOURS

PRICE: $50, $75, $100
